Overview

Threshold alerts allow you to be notified by email when your asset reaches the defined threshold of operating hours (hour meter) or distance traveled (odometer).

Basics

Asset selection

  • View the cumulative hour meter or odometer of your asset in the left list to assist you in your selection.

  • View in the right list the next hour meter or odometer threshold and in how many hours or kilometers the next alert will be triggered, allowing you to anticipate it.

Pre-threshold

The pre-threshold option allows you to receive an earlier alert. This enables you to plan maintenance activities before it's too late and take proactive measures to prevent unexpected downtime.

To be alerted before the threshold is reached, simply check the box in the hour meter and odometer threshold alert form. You will then receive an email alert with a table listing the asset that has reached 90% of the defined maintenance threshold.

📝 Example

I create an hour meter threshold alert that notifies me every time asset exceeds 100 hours of usage. I will be alerted at 100 hours of usage, 200 hours of usage, and so on.

If the pre-threshold option is activated, I will be alerted both before and after reaching the threshold: at 90 hours, 100 hours, 190 hours, 200 hours, 290 hours, and so on.

ℹ️ Threshold management rules

  • An early alert is issued only once for each threshold, regardless of the period.

  • If asset passes the pre-threshold and the threshold during the same period, only reaching the threshold will be notified.

  • If asset exceeds one threshold and reaches the pre-alert threshold of the next threshold, both events will be notified.

Use case

  • I am an operator and want to be notified when asset needs to be sent for maintenance to avoid losing my warranty.

  • I am a lessor, and I want to be notified before or when the usage of asset exceeds the hours specified in the contract, in order to get in touch with my customer and offer to increase their package.
