Asset profile

Everything about asset profile and the information it provides.

Updated this week

Overview

Asset profile is a central piece in Hiboo app. It helps you explore every detail of your asset such as activity, location, faults… and various actions, all in a very simple way.

Basics

Dashboard

Data displayed may vary depending on the data source of the selected asset. Assets connected via a telematics system will have certain efficiency and operating data that devices do not collect, such as fuel consumption.

The dashboard has two main sections:

  • Asset Usage : historical data for the selected period.

  • Details : Asset profile (category, brand, model, company, data source, etc.) and current information (last alert received, location, cumulative usage, cumulative consumption, etc.)

Asset usage

Explore your asset usage data over a specific period.

Efficiency

Description

Rate of use

Number of days in operation / Number of working days

Idle rate

Number of hours of idling / Number of hours of operation

Hourly consumption

Number of litres consumed / Number of hours of operation

Hourly daily output

Number of hours of operation / Number of days worked

Exploitation

Description

Usage hours

Fuel Consumed

Litres of fuel consumed

To know the ratios, simply move the mouse over the data and an information bar appears.

Asset anomalies

Find a summary of the fault codes found on your assets equipped with telematics systems over a given period

"Analysis" Section

This section allows you to track significant events for an asset through historical data. Cumulative or daily data is presented in linear or bar charts.

You can better analyse and understand the asset's activity and usage.

Select a data type to visualize

In the selector, you will only find data received at least once for the asset.

When data is unavailable for the selected period, the following message is displayed: "No data available for the period."

Export

Data can be exported in JPG, PDF, or XLS format.

Asset details

Last alert received

Preview the last alert received for the asset.

Cumulative usage

Cumulative usage differs depending on the data source of the asset:

  • For assets connected with telematics systems, the usage data is cumulated from the first telematics connection of the asset.

  • For assets connected with 3rd party devices, usage data is collected from the installation of the device on the asset.

Fuel level

For some brands, the fuel level is also available in this section :

Add workspace

This workspace function allows you to add / remove an asset from a workspace, make it visible to other users.

  • Click on the workspaces dropdown

  • Click on + add a new workspace

  • Select one or several workspaces

  • Click on add

Source of data

This part gives information about the origin of the collected data, directly from the manufacturer or via the connected devices.

The last data date indicates when was the last time Hiboo received data from the corresponding source.

Alerts

The alerts tab provides visibility int the alerts received for your asset.

The received alerts are displayed to all members of the current workspace.

In the feed, which represents a chronology of received alerts, each line corresponds to an event and indicates the day and time it occurred.

How to read the feed?

  • Alert Name: The name you give to the alert when it was created.

  • Event Description: A description of the occurred event.

  • Cumulative Hourmeter or Odometer: The cumulative hourmeter or odometer reading of the equipment at the time of the event.

Positions

Visualise your equipment positions

Access your equipment trips either via the Positions tab on the equipment profile or by clicking directly on the map in the equipment Dashboard.

In the Positions tab, select the desired period of time for which you wish to visualise the trips. Play with the map by selecting the satellite map style or activating the custom imagery if available to get a clear vision of the trips.

Export positions data

Data export is available in CSV format from the Hiboo application, here is what you need to do:

  • Select the desired asset in Inventory or by clicking on Details.

  • Select Trips in the tabs under the title

  • Chose a period of time

  • Click on Export

Trips

The Trips feature allows you to display the routes taken by your vehicles, and understand where it has been during a given period.

Use cases may vary:

  • Where was the vehicle yesterday at noon?

  • Which routes were taken on Tuesday, a day when consumption was high?

  • How did the vehicle move last weekend?

  • etc.

How it works

To use this feature, you need to:

  1. Identify the vehicle you are interested in and access its profile page

  2. Click on Trips in the sub-navigation of the page

  3. Explore the data:

    • Filter for the period you are interested in

    • Explore the trips taken during this period, sorted by day

    • Select a trip and visualize its course on the map

The Data Used

Hiboo is a data aggregator (among others) and is dependent on the quality of the data sent by sources (manufacturers, telematics, etc.) and this is particularly true for Trips. The higher the quality of the received data, the more interesting the Trips feature will be.

To display a route, we need to receive:

  1. Activity data

  2. Several GPS positions during these activity periods

We realize that telematics sources (Wefleet, Connectic, Ocean, etc.) are the most compatible with the Trips feature because they send activity data and have a good frequency of sending positions.

Filtered Data

We have decided to only display a route when we receive at least 2 positions on the activity.

It may happen that data sources provide unreliable information. In order to make it as easy as possible for you to read the trips, we have chosen not to show you cases where we receive less than 2 different positions during the activity.

This can happen if the activity is too short or if the source does not correctly send us GPS positions.

The Trips feature remains available, even for sources that are not compatible with Trips. It allows for more precision as it displays all received positions (but is less readable).

Faults

In your equipment profile Dashboard you’ll have a glimpse of the fault codes that were received over the given time. For a closer look at your equipment fault codes history and status, go to the Faults tab of your equipment profile.

Note that fault codes are only available if your machine is equipped with telematics systems.

Understand the Faults tab

Your equipment faults summary is separated in two sections:

  • Section 1 shows the distribution of the faults codes over the chosen period of time.

  • Section 2 lists all the faults codes emitted by the equipment over the chosen period of time. That section allows you to visualise the fault codes description and filter by severity in order to analyse the engine’s health.

Note that the faults’ description is what is being given by the manufacturer itself.

Quick tip: if an action is needed on the ground after reviewing a fault code, the direction button gives you the directions to find it.

Usage

The Usage tab allows you to view usage data on a day-by-day basis.

Data sources

Each equipment can be emitting data from a single source or several. Hiboo collects all data sources available on an equipment, whether that is telematics combined with a sensor or a newer version, we centralise it on the equipment dashboard. On top of that, each source may have different data available, it is what is called Data kinds on Hiboo.

For that reason, we’ve created a dedicated section on the equipment profile to give you a better visibility on what data sources are available for the selected equipment and what data kinds from that source.

In the first section you’ll find the same information as on the equipment Dashboard, and in the second section a detailed view of the data kinds available for this source.

Zones

The zones tab gives you visibility on your equipment activity in each zone it entered and/or exited during the given period of time.

In the table, which represents a timeline of the visited zones, every line gives a timestamp on when the equipment entered and exited a zone, the time spent in the zone, its usage and idle rate during that time.

How to use the table?

  • Time range : limit the time period on which you want to display the equipment influx.

  • Filter : filter on variables (Brand, Company, Model, Category, Source, Severity, Favourites).

  • Column : choose which columns you want to display or not.

  • Zone profile : click on the open button when hovering on a zone name to access the zone page.

  • Export : export the selected columns of the table in XLSX format.

Documents

The Documents tab is used to manage the documents associated with this equipment. It has its own article.

Edit profile

To access and modify the details and information of an asset : click on the inventory tab in the navigation bar, search for the desired material, and then edit the information from the dashboard of the material.

You can also mass update your equipment from the Inventory.

Directions

By clicking on Directions, you will be directly redirected to google map with the geographical coordinates of your asset pre-filled. You just have to indicate your starting position to get the itinerary to the asset.

  1. Go to your asset profile page

  2. Click on Directions in the top right corner

  3. In google map :

    1. Click on Direction.

    2. Fill in the address from which you wish to leave

    3. Press the Enter key on your keyboard.
