Everything to know about exports and export history

Introduction

Export your data from Hiboo's app for integration, manipulation, and analysis in your favorite tools (e.g., Excel, BI, ERP, GMAO, etc.).

Overview

The 'Export' button is available wherever the data is available for export.

You can track the status of your exports from the 'Exports' page, accessible via the main menu. This allows you to:

  • Track your exports, whether they are available, in progress, failed, or cancelled.

  • Download a file, copy its link, retry a failed export, or cancel a request.

When your export is ready, an "in-app" notification informs you, allowing you to download it without interruption.

Note:

In-app notifications and export tracking are only available for exports generated from the "Faults" and "Fleet Data" reports.

Your files are available for export for 7 days.

FAQ

Why did my export fail?

This is likely due to the volume of data you are trying to export. To optimise your export:

  1. Reduce the exported period:

    • Limit the selected date range to generate a lighter file.

    • Export in multiple batches

  2. Filter assets: target only the assets relevant to your analysis to minimise the data volume.

  3. Optimise column selection: When exporting from "Fleet data", hide the columns "Last known positions", “Last known cumulative usage hours”, and “Last known cumulative distance”, as they can generate large amounts of data.
