Activity and Inactivity alerts

Create an alert whenever one or more pieces of equipment are over- or under-performing.

Updated over 3 months ago

Introduction

Activity alerts, which are activated by analysing hours-of-use data, trigger an e-mail notification when a piece of equipment exceeds or underperforms on a predefined hours-of-use threshold.

Use case

  • As an equipment hire company, I would like to be alerted if my equipment is running at the weekend or over a non-contractual period, so that I can adjust my invoicing.

  • As an operator, I would like to be alerted if my equipment has been running less than 4 hours a day.

Basics

Creating and modifying an alert

  • Click on Alerts in the navigation bar

  • Click on New alert

  • Select the type of alert Activity or Inactivity

  • Name and define the conditions of the alert

  • Choose the equipment on which you want to be alerted

  • Enter the contact(s) to be notified of this alert

To modify an alert, simply click on Open in the list of alerts and modify it.

Adding bulk equipment to an alert

Using the dispatch tool, you can apply the desired filters to group equipment according to your criteria (for example, by brand or category). This will allow you to easily select all matching equipment and include it in an alert.
