In this chapter
Learn why and how to create alerts and be notified on all assets Geolocation, activity or inactivity, no matter what the use, you just have to define a threshold to set a limit.
What alerts can be created?
Geofencing : Receive an alert when asset enters or leaves an area
Activity : Receive an alert when asset is being overused or used outside regulated hours.
Inactivity: receive an alert when asset is underutilized.
Hourmeter threshold: receive an alert when asset exceeds a defined number of usage hours.
Odometer threshold: receive an alert when asset exceeds a certain mileage threshold.
How to add asset to an alert?
- Click on
Dynamic list of all assets
to add all current and future asset in the workspace to the alert, or click onFixed list of assets
to select the asset you want to add. - If you clicked on
Fixed list of assets
, then click onSelect assets
afterward.
- The list on the
left
contains all the assets that are in the current workspace. Select the assets you want to add to the alert. They will instantly appear in the list on the right. - The list on the
right
contains all the assets selected to be added to the alert. Once the assets are selected, clickValidate
to add the assets to the alert.
What are the advantages?
Alerts created allow you to remotely control your assets on several sites at the same time!
For example, you wish to be notified when:
- The dump truck 87254DE enters and/or leaves the unloading area 🚛
- The hydraulic excavator 27631F on site AE4 has been inactive for more than 14 hours 📉
- The bulldozer 234516T is being used here 📍 this Wednesday, March 23rd at 3pm.
